So are these good seed or bad seed? Living in Wisconsin when should they be potted and germination? And can they be frozen to keep until then?

One can not usually determine if a seed is viable just by looking at it. You should give the seeds a gentle squeeze. If they are firm, they should be viable. If they collapse or feel soft and spongy, they are not good.

Daylily seeds shouldn't be frozen. They keep quite nicely with just refrigeration.

Since I live on the coast of Louisiana, I can't advise you as to the proper planting time for your area, but you can keep your seeds refrigerated until next spring if you need to.

Thank you Judy. I have one daylily plant with something like 12 seed pods. Apparently the pollinators liked that one. This pod happened to have turned a little brown. Had 2 seeds in it. But the others are getting fairly big

In my area which is the same zone as you are in, I dry my seeds for 2 to 3 days and then keep them in my refrigerator crisper until spring. I wouldn't plant them this late in the summer.
