Frenchie---21

I can give you several Spider Plants.
I have the striped ones--all green ones--and, maybe, a curly one (Bonie).
The ID if the Hawaiian one is iffy. Some call the all green ones by that name.
All are rooted and growing. Gita

The Hawaiian spider that I have has striped babies, but the larger/mature plants tend to go all green. It seems to have wider leaves with a little more substance than the regular green or variegated ones. Oddly, it's the only variety I currently have.

If anybody has a spare curly spider baby (fall swap or seed swap or spring swap... I can wait), I'd appreciate it! I gave away my main plant, but then lost the babies I was rooting. It's such a cutie!

Hi Critter - is this considered a "curly" spider? If so, I will try to root one for you - or take a cutting right before swap.

Frenchy, the one I had looked like 'Bonnie' Curly Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum 'Bonnie') . Its "spiders" almost look like round balls, with their leaves curled around & under.

Yours looks really sweet, so if it can spare a spider, I'd love one! '

ooh, dashing right over to the swap tool -- thanks, Frenchie!!

Chantell, Lewesia are sweet plants! I've had them overwinter well for the past 2 years.... planted in 'tufa pots with succulent mix (the great stuff SSG makes with chick grit and that stuff they use on ballfields... hmm, might have to find her "recipe" if I can get the DOG search to work). They are slow to grow/multiply for me, though, so I can't divide mine yet.

I have often noticed how pretty Lewisias are while watering the tables at HD.
NOT familiar with it--but they look pretty.

Also--somewhere else--I just posted that I have good-sized "Bonnie" Spider for you, Jill.
I even re-potted it in a 6" pot. It is the REAL thing...

The one Frenchie posted is NOT a curly spider. Sorry!
It IS pretty, though. Do you know what the plant you have is????
It looks like something "Birds Nest" to me. I have NO clue! It is VERY pretty...
Can you look into it further, Donna? Is it a Dracena of some kind?

This is an Ok picture of my Curly Spider. I have a better one of it in a HB--but cannot
find it right now. Well--you get the idea??? Gita

Yesterday--one of my neighbors was taking a short-cut through my back yard
and tripped on a brick edging--then, in falling, she tok out my Maya brug by the shed.
Broke the whole plant in pieces.
Glad she was not seriously hurt--as the big brug pot broke her fall,

SO--now I have 6 pieces of the Maya Brug potted up to root. Hope it does.
My big pot has a stub left--which, I hope, will continue to grow.
Besides--I have an extra, full one left to continue.
These are available for the swap.

The Maya Brug has variegated leaves and nice, cream-white blooms.
1--Here is a photo of it from Sept. 2009.

2--And here is the way it looked before the crash. This is my extra one.

@gitagal - you should see how big the Dr. Seuss is outside right now...I'm so excited!!! If you'd trust me with one of your Maya's I'd be thrilled...love those variegated leaves. I keep seeing a Cypress Gardens one at my Southern States...temptation might get the best of me if it's still there tomorrow. Do you have any opinions on that brug?
