So, last year i planted a small section of my small garden with a mixed envelope of seeds that were supposed to be sweet smelling heirloom flowers (alyssum and bachelar buttons and others that i cant think of right now) Well these have surived the winter so far snd are starting to bloom! I've tried to remember the list from the packet and looked online - are these walflower/sweet william or something else?

It didn't even die back. We even had a little snow once in Jan. It was much or for long. But yeah, I'm loving the early blooms!

I haven't had one for a few years, but I recall a purple variety that bloomed in winter. Like the rosemary blooming in the snow, a welcome sight in my otherwise barren winter garden!

I named this little cactus "Mickey Mouse", for obvious reasons. I used to have lots of cactus, but I had to remove them because I fall ... and cactus hurt. But they found a good home with a young couple who came and dug them all up.
