Woohooo! Thanks, Lynn

I'll keep them cool inside until I can hand them off on the 10th.

Those who are on the fall bulb spreadsheet, I'll add your semp total to your invoice. Figure $3 per plant plus $0.55 for shipping plus $.10 towards PP fee comes out pretty close, so $3.65 per plant.

Totals

Chantell: 5 x $3.65 = $18.25

Frenchy: 6 x $3.65 = $21.90

Robin: 9 x $3.65 = $32.85

Hooray!

I've fallen behind on paperwork, need to do invoicing for fall bulbs and semps... will try to include anything else people owe me for, like irises or pens. I can bring moisture crystals, too, $7 for pound.

Lynn, I'm thinking that moisture crystals would help "lighten" potentially soggy soil and be helpful for semps... at least, I've used them in containers to protect from both over and under watering. What do you think? Does anybody use them with semps?

Absolutely no moisture crystals for semps. Sure way of killing them. You want very fast draining soil, and a good layer of chicken grit under the leaves to keep them from contact with wet soil.

For other plants, moisture crystals really do help keep soil from being too soggy... they suck up excess water so roots can breathe. But hopefully I'll get the semps planted in such a way that excess water won't be an issue. Using the new raised bed area and/or containers should help, and I'll get them all mulched with chick grit, too!

I have a few extra rosettes to share of a semp that's green at present but I think is more colorful at other times of the year... Joyanna helped me pot them yesterday. I'll dig around in the container to see if there's a tag in there (I "submerge" my labels sometimes to keep them from disappearing).

The box arrived -- looking terribly battered, but Lynn did a great job packing! I didn't peek into all the bags, but my little rosettes all looked just fine.

Lynn put a whole layer of bonus rosettes on top! I'm not sure how many different noids she gathered them from. looks to me like 5 o r6 different ones? I divvied them up between us. She put the named varieties into separate bags, with both the cultivar name and the member name on the bag, so it was easy to sort out our orders. Thanks, Lynn!

Either cash or check is fine (or you can do paypal next week if you forget). A check is easier for me to keep track of; if you pay in cash, I'd appreciate it if you'd put it in an envelope marked with your name ("$18.25 from Chantell for semps). I get distracted at swaps and tend to just shove things in my pocket... Rolling my eyes.
