I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

Name: Elaine Sarasota, Fl The one constant in life is change
So cute. Starlings are unfortunately a true plague in some places now - my daughter has problems with them driving all the other birds away from her bird feeders.

I can remember my grandpa shooting at them in WV because they would eat the corn. And I was there to eat the corn! Grandkids come before birds! In Florida, fireworks are technically illegal so when we buy them, we all sign a form saying we're farmers using them to scare the critters away from our crops.

Mom and I are taking turns terrorizing the squirrels. I saw on the news tonight how bad it is for your health to sit too much so it's good to get up and chase the squirrels, right? It's for my health.
Saw more birds than I got pictures of, but here's the few I managed. This first one looks foggy because the humidity fogged up my lens. Only got the one pic before the Cardinal flew away. I had three of them out there, too!
I wish I could hug a Carolina Chickadee. They look huggable.
I think it's saying, "Make sure you get my good side."
One of many Tufted Titmice in the area. They take turns snatching their seeds and flying back to their perch.
Meeeeeeeee too Melanie! I would dearly love to hug a Carolina Chickadee. Huggable is the perfect word for them.

From the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail today on Facebook:
CELEBRATING 100 YEARS of the MIGRATORY BIRD TREATY ACT!
On August 16, 1916, the United States and Great Britain (on behalf of Canada) signed the first migratory bird treaty and adopted a uniform system of protection for certain species of birds that migrate between the United States and Canada. https://www.fws.gov/birds/mbtr...
I think I just officially became a "bird person". I joined the Audubon Society! They sent me an email because I downloaded their app. It was only $20 to join and they're sending me a free seed bird feeder. It's not a great bird feeder - the squirrels would be in it within moments. But maybe my friends at MOSI would like it?
