This jasmine planted several months ago. When we bought it was green had a couple blooms on it Shortly after planting it it started dying. I made a make shift shelter shaded it thinking it was getting burned from too much sun. That was a month ago and it still looks burned. When I shared my thoughts on the matter I was informed( a bit to late) that the area that I planted it in was most likely a dumping area for cat litter. ๐Ÿ˜•
What can I do to help it survive? So far it had stayed alive for 2 months.

Hello @Wallflower there are several things that come to mind, 1)dig up the plant and amend the soil where it is located now and replant it, 2) dig it up and transplant to a large pot with new soil until it is back healthy. If you plan to try and grow it in the current location then that soil needs to be amended and the healthy plant can be replanted from the pot.

Good luck

Thomas is right on there, Christina. The soil your plant is in looks really terrible. There aren't even hardly any weeds growing around there - a sure sign the soil is not hospitable.

For amendment - compost is the #1 ingredient to improve almost any soil. Usually a nursery is the place to find good compost. What you get in bags at Lowe's or Home Depot is mostly sand which really doesn't help much at all.
