Hi,
I am living in UK and I bought a Hybiscus plant, which flowering yellow and pink separately in one plant.

We noted , some flowers with dual colours in the same flower. I have attached one of the flower photo. We noted some flowers with different extent colour combination,

I have discussed about this , with my friend who is botanist and environmental scientist. He cannot give any explanation.

Every time when a dual colour flower comes , I video the whole plant, for my records.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Wow, that sure is a beautiful and colorful bloom! It appears to be a "sport", a genetic mutation. Some growers will at times create new plants with color changes. Future blooms may eventually revert to the original color.

Yes that is a genetic mutation, other blooms should be one color. Could be called "chimera".

Are you able to save seed and send to the US? I grow hibiscus from seed and would love to grow some from this special bloom! ❤️ It will eventually develop a seed pod.

Please post more photos if you see more bicolor blooms!
