Thank you foraygardengirl, great finding this site!! Thanks everybody. Not sure if we have IDed the plant yet. I live in Melbourne and saw this plant in someone's garden. It is winter about to come to spring now here. Leaf size is about 8-10cm, even larger. Hope this helps, really want to know what this is..here is another photo I've took:)
It does. Though the leaves seem to be more structured and more dark and glossy, it's hard to tell. The flowers are also very small, I am thinking they do look like flowers from Photinia...but the red leaves and how the leaves cup the new buds seem a little different (could well be a seasonal difference though).
In the US, Photinias grow where the winters are mild and the new leaves are brilliant red. You'll know soon enough if it is a Photinia when the new growth starts. As to the viburnum leaves, there are quite a few different V. tinus and the leaves vary.
The shrub in your photo is very attractive. I would want to ID it also. Perhaps you can take the photo or a snip of the plant to your local agricultural extension office or even a local nursery for assistance.

I agree it does look like a Red Tip; we'll have to wait until we see those characteristic red leaves.
I admit I am negative on Photinias as I lived through the blight about 30 years ago when every red tip, except those pruned up like trees, died. Where I lived at the time, they were used as hedges and all of a sudden everyone had rows of dead shrubs.
