That's what I did too. I think they're gone, but I'm a bit worried about moving the little guy back with all his friends Hilarious! I'll probably move them all back eventually... maybe...

I have been growing succulents for about 4 or 5 years now and only had scale on one plant, but I'm the type of person who doesn't want to throw a living thing away, so...I keep it separated, and over time it hasn't spread to other plants and the plant itself looks fine for most of the time and then gets ugly, I take the affected leaves off and it keeps on growing Crossing Fingers!

Unfortunately, it's a cactus so I can't remove affected areas since the whole thing was affected... Guess I should've checked it a little harder before buying it Glare Oh well, I haven't seen much lately, and it's going down quite a bit! At least it isn't something that moves, either, so I can pretend it's not bugs!! Rolling on the floor laughing

Rolling on the floor laughing that's true! It also makes the flowers bloom funny (if you are able to get it to bloom) most people don't like the look but I find it interesting!

I tried googling it, but can't find anything I could be mixing it up with some other pest?

Hmm, that could be. I googled too, and didn't find anything. Maybe it's just not a common search term? Shrug!

@nicodiangel_no I'm from north western MN and I grow lots of Semps outside. I have very sandy soil and live on a hill and they've done well here and increased greatly as Greg said. My mom lives close and she has heavy soil and the Semps I've given her have done well also. I've tried bringing them in in containers with tender succulents and the Semps don't survive the winter inside so I'm in agreement with Bev and Greg about them being great outdoor plants. I've ordered from The Sempervivum Patch that springcolor mentions above and from valleylynn who moderates the Sempervivum data base along with Goldfinch4 who has The Sempervivum Patch. All of the plants I got from them have done well so I would highly recommend them. Good luck!

Susie thank you! I have sandy soil as well, whereas the farm that I (partially) own that has a few semps is more heavy soil. I'll be sure to check out those places! Thank You! Thank You! Thumbs up
