Welcome to the O-T Junction! This is a chat thread within the Adenium forum where we could talk and share just about anything. So anyone is welcome to join in discussions even if you do not grow adeniums.

Here's my fur baby, Olympia.Thumb of 2016-08-13/Rainbow/ee97a8

I have a wish list for caladiums…I don’t have any and I think they are the most colorful foliage plants. So I’m waiting for Caladiums4Less to have another blow-out sale on them.

I really like pickles made from vegi's and fruits: papaya, cucumber, napa cabbage, green mangos, and many others that are in season. My cravings vary month-to-month. Two months ago it was Kimchi every day; month ago it was pickled green mangos, this month it is fresh cucumbers mixed in with kosher dill pickles in the jar. Hilarious!

JamesAcclaims said:The main reason that I haven't ordered anything yet, is because I may be up and moving to Eastern/Northern Florida in the next few months, so I am waiting to find out what I am going to be doing/where I am going to be before I make an order. Luckily, I'll be in the same USDA Zone as I am in right now, just slightly wetter, so my adeniums will be fine and will relocate okay, but I would like to move as few plants as possible.

@JamesAcclaims
I guess you're glad you'll be in the same USDA zone, and wetter is better I think. Angel I have been to Florida only once...Palm Coast, in February.

Wetter is definitely better. Our summers are SO dry here! Love the weather the entire year, and don't even mind the heat, but we typically go from April to September with just a few drops of rain.

I have ordered seeds and sent seeds to USA, but not live plants until recently. My tuberose clumps of bulbs order from Caladiums4Less came from Florida and arrived without any interference by customs (I live in a US territory). They are growing just fine! @drdawg has some very nice orchids and staghorn ferns that I I like.

Good that you don't have to really worry about customs. Thumbs up I always get nervous when I order from Rinoa, because you never know when you're going to get that one picky agent. Glare

I know what you went through...my first time to order live plants was from Rinoa in Taiwan, China, from a foreign country, I was very nervous! (Hmm...there's no nail-biting emoji available here.)

I am not sure if I will get another fur baby. I miss my terrier. My present dog is 15yrs old Basenji
Things are looking fall like around here. I would have to bring plants in but I am so tired of brown dry low humidity.

Wow! Those okra are nice! I'd like mine breaded and fried, please. And freeze some to make gumbo soup. Angel

How do you pickle okra?
We only use okra in hot & sour soup.
