Thanks for the welcome DrDawg! I have 2 plants. I'm in central Iowa and its been cool at night so I've brought them in the house. One is by a Southeast window and has flower/stalk that is coming into bloom. I'm at the point on other plant I need to cut one of the trunks (of 2) that has grown too tall. It has 4 branch shoots at the top that are 5-8 inches tall. Should I cut and root each of those 4 or cut 12" down on the trunk and try to root it there?

Dede Welcome! it is a beautiful bloom but I'm not good in identifying varieties.

I would wait in spring to cut. Where to cut the Branches would be your preference. If I have 4 branches on top, I prefer to cut it as multi-tip cutting go an instant tree effect. And per my experience, multi-tip mature cuttings has higher chance of blooming within a year or 2.
