Thread OP

So my boss bought me a white violet and I've had her for about 3 weeks and it seems her petals are starting to droop. I've kept her in a warm area where she doesn't get too much sun and I give her 1 ice cube a week. Am I doing something wrong??

Is your plant an African Violet/Saintapaulia?
I'm pretty sure they like room temperature water; the ice cube may cause chilling of the roots and may cause the leaves to have a downward curling. Since receiving the plant have you re-potted it?

I can't imagine that 1 ice cube of water a week is near enough. And I agree with greene. Watering plants with ice isn't a really great idea. Brrr.
