It was allowed because they linked to a https site, but I was only blocking regular URLs. I'm updating my code to also not allow https site links, too. So that won't happen again.
Has there been a problem with new people posting photos that warrants a time restriction? I was following a thread where a new person was trying to post a photo of a plant he had a question about, but he was unable to do so for about a week. He jollied along with the restriction and was finally able to post his photo, but it felt a bit unwelcoming to me. I'm not a big fan of high security I guess - I'm always amazed when folks lock their vehicles in my driveway.
