This tree is located at the very edge of a deep ravine.
Thumb of 2016-09-12/Zanymuse/2deb57
It has leaves about the length of my hand
Thumb of 2016-09-12/Zanymuse/dbb758
and tiny yellow/green fruits about the size of a large olive

They look like miniature avocados

I have never seen an avocado tree with such small leaves or fruit. Any information would be much appreciated.

I went to google....
After searching eucalyptus, decided that the nuts weren't correct.

Tried searching California nuts....

Do your trees look anything like umbellularia californica?

My first thought is California Bay Laurel (Umbellularia californica), native to the west coast. The leaves, when crushed, should smell like bay leaves. The leaves of California Bay make the best bay leaves for cooking in the world.
