gemini_sage said:Cinta, where did you find American Sensation? I love the American series of OTs but haven't seen them offered by many vendors.

I also ordered mine from GWild. I purchased them before and have them in the garden so I am looking forward to seeing them in the pots this yr.

Thanks Dave! That's a nice selection and good prices too! I've lost a few over the years that I'd like to replace, glad to know some venders are offering them.

Thanks Cinta and Annette! I've never shopped with GH Wild, but need to keep them in mind- they offer a lot of peonies I'm interested in too.

@Legalily That is how I found them 30yrs ago. When I started gardening young and did not have the money to buy the $50 daylilies every one was talking about on the forums someone told me to start with the older ones at Wild.

I think and have always thought Gilbert H Wild is quite reputable; some of my first lilies and daylilies came from there.

I placed two orders with them until I received emails cancelling them and saying they don't ship to Alaska. Oh well.... lots of vendors do!
From -60 Alaska to +100 Virginia. Wahoo

I went to put my new lily bulbs in our old refrigerator in the garage last night and lo and behold in the veggie bins I had 2 packages from Michigan Bulb that had never been planted still in their individual marked bags. I looked at the postmark on the bags and I kid you not, it said 10/1996 D'Oh! D'Oh! D'Oh! Needless to say when I looked inside of the bags and touched some of the bulbs they disintegrated immediately Whistling Whistling Whistling And my kids give me grief because the food in my fridge expires - they haven't seen anything yet! That was before I became enlightened on the NGA Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious! Now I'm just trying to determine if I should put these lilies in potting soil in the basement garage in the dark before I can plant them outside or not. If so, do I put that stuff in the bottom of the pot instead of the hole when I plant them? Confused Confused

Thanks Dave - I don't mean to be a pain but this is all new to me with the lilies and I'm short on time for reading up on it. Should have thought of that before I ordered so darn many of them Whistling Whistling Whistling

@Legalily Don't worry you will be an old hand real soon.

I went to a local chain Aldi if anyone have one in your area and you just want a large area covered with oriental lilies and not looking for name they have bags of 10 bulbs mixed for $5.99.

I could not resist I purchased two bags and they had small bags of 6 of Asiatic lily Lolipop and Navona $1.89. So of course I had to buy a bag of each of them.

Since they were so cheap I am going to plant them in pots around the patio.

I was pleased with the size and healthy look. They are large as big as golf balls, firm and pink.

Great we can compare colors this summer. Your bulbs will probable bloom before me because of your zone.

They look really good. I have received nice bulbs online and these matched the expensive vendors that I paid $3.00-$5.00 a bulb.

Today was beautiful perfect not to hot and sunny. I thought I would start planting the hostas I got for a dollar at the end of season. Every thing came through the winter in their pots. Lots of green coming up. One did not look a normal hosta leaves. Looked at the tag and..........
It is "Lilium 'Tiny Double You" I came is side to look it up ..............
promising new perennials for 2014!”
One of the Lily Looks™ series developed in the Netherlands. Bred originally for containers, these are versatile garden plants as well. The dwarf habit makes them useful near the front of any sunny border where they put on a great midsummer show. Also equally at home in a rock garden. The best effect comes from massing in good-sized clumps of one variety. This selection is unique and new to the series with large, upfacing, fragrant DOUBLE orange flowers.

It's hard to have too many, unless you run out of space to plant them. nodding Your double orange miniature sounds like a nice surprise. I'd love to have that kind. Lovey dubby Lovey dubby
