Opened the door to the wonderful fragrance of hyacinths this morning! They are supposed to be red but really look pink to me. Still all in all a great looking pot.

I decided to move the Elephant Yam Amorphophallus paeonifolius closer to the house. I always had it secluded so when it flowered visitors wouldn't run off screaming. When I dug the bulb up, I found I had planted it upside down all those years. *Blush*

It certainly attracts attention now and looks a million dollars in this position. So big.

3 more Tribal Dance
4 more Passion Moon

Also, went to a Lawn and Garden show in Des Moines yesterday and added these (Lily Society was selling them BOGO so all 4 for $6.00)
1-Spring Pink
1-Advantage (LF)
2-Sundew
And I thought I was done ordering D'Oh! D'Oh!

I planted my lilies. This is what I planted in pots on the patio. I only had three orientals on the patio last year and I made a note to plant more for this summer

.I always plant lilies early Spring. In my climate if I plant them in the fall I lose them because of our wet cold fall weather.

No they stay in the pots. I started planting my patio pots with perennials a couple years ago. I buy very few annuals. I pull the pots close to the house and cover them with leaves. They are very big pots they are 4' tall and. 3' wide pots.

I have just about got this project complete with blooming from Spring starting with the Spring bulbs ending with blooming sedum in the Fall.

@Deebie from your lips to my nose. The fragrance is my wish. I plan to sit out there on the patio this summer and reflect and heal my soul.

Cinta, where did you find American Sensation? I love the American series of OTs but haven't seen them offered by many vendors.
