I've got a couple of fun ones blooming.
This is called "Yellow Gem", it's a Cerinthe major purpurescens relation, isn't showing very yellow, more red.

Another Cerinthe "Rubarb & Cream".

Scabiosa is blooming well now too.

Here's a fun one, annual yellow morning glories.

One more, "Yeti" nasturtiums. I really like these, they've been even more hardy than the "normal" ones, and really long blooming.

I wonder if that 'yellow' cerinthe is what I have that has popped up...starting to flower and the flower sure looks different from my other cerinthe...
I could be wrong...

After the early morning drizzle, lone Mandevilla shows much better:

And inside the orchid growcamp, Brassidium Fangtastic 'Bob Henley' finally starts blooming once more, it's 2nd spike this year, it also bloomed late May to June this year:

Glad to see you have some blooms after your long absence. My mandevilla stays out all year but it is dropping some yellow leaves.
I've been tempted to try one of those Brassidiums, but I'm waiting to see if I can bloom my small Brassia before I invest.

Carol, my mandevilla also looked like it wanted to start having yellow leaves, and I was ready to give it some hard pruning, but then that bud showed and bloomed, so it is getting a temporary reprieve. Maybe will wait for that bloom to wilt.

I find the Brassia ones quite water needy. My first Brassia, Brassia Rex bloomed nicely indoors last June 2010, but I underestimated its temperature needs, in short killed it during winter. My bad, that really taught me to be mindful of temperature as well.

This current Brassidium was a rescue last early winter 2015. It started perking up when I finally brought it out in Spring, where I can freely water it often and gets as much air flow it can. I am really happy it gave a 2nd flush of blooms this year, so surprised it did!

My Mandevilla still has 4 or 5 blooms, and never looses all of its leaves, but it is so root bound that it needs water at least every other day. Time to root prune again, and add some fresh soil, but that can wait till spring. It's one of the few plants that can cope with hanging from the awning on my porch, and has been there for years, but they are always available, and reasonable, so I don't worry about it. I'm thinking about getting several more of them. Nothing else can take the heat in summer, and it's happy with the amount of sun it gets. My porch faces north, but the Mandevilla is at the west end, so gets the afternoon full sun. It's one of the "Sun Parasol" series that used to be Diplidania. I wish they would develop some new colors! The only other thing I've had last up there is Bacoppa, but it shades everything else on the porch and reseeds everywhere!

Happy Friday! Just savoring the bloom show of my Brassidium Fangtastic 'Bob Henley', more blooms showing, bringing it indoors to see it more. Been raining since yesterday so good timing to keep it in, we will be getting chillier nights after this.
