The iguanas are taking over south FL where we came from. We even saw one in Jonathan Dickinson State Park and let me tell you it wasn't small!
Three feet if it was an inch.
In the neighborhood where we lived, we had a particularly cold winter one year & as I was out walking my dog spied a big 'un hanging from a scrub pine limb. I thought it was alive & then looked closer & apparently it had been killed by the freeze we'd had the night prior. That or it was just old & died or some animal wounded it & it died, maybe got hit by a car but I figure it was the cold since it was the day after a rare, rare, rear, hard freeze. My full birdbath was frozen solid & never did totally melt that day.
