I hoped that after leaving the adorable images of the new baby and the congratulation comments in the thread this thread would get back on topic. This thread is now 30+ posts off topic, not only for the thread but for this forum as well....
We have a thread for off topic chat here in the forum, The Porch Swing.

This is a Daylily forum where members of the National Gardening Association come to learn about Daylilies. You started the thread discussing daylily seedlings. While we enjoy learning about members who share our passion for daylilies this thread now has little to do with daylilies. That is why I suggest using the off topic thread, The Porch Swing, to continue the discussion about your family within the Daylily forum. The Porch Swing is a thread set up for this type of personal chatting. The members who use The Porch Swing thread are very welcoming to new chatters and topics, just join in and have some fun Smiling

Being a moderator is a hard job to do sometimes, when it comes to keeping people on topic.. A thankless job, one I would not want. As much as we do enjoy talking about things sometimes that are not on topic (daylilies) there is a place for such things and there are reasons for that.
Daniel you do not have to stop talking about your kids, no one is asking you to do that.Char is just doing her job as moderator of the daylily forum, if we did not have moderators for the forums, there would be no need for named forums there would just be one forum about thousands of different subjects.
I do hope you don't hold it against Char for recommending you take your thread over to the forum designed for an extended detour from the main subject. Sure we all love to get off topic at times, but we have to count on the moderators to not let it get out of hand.
I also hope others will respect the job the moderators are asked to do. I myself have been asked to move a topic at times, and I fully understood why.
It happens to all of us at times, so please don't take it personally! I am sure there are plenty of people who would love to follow your thread about your children. I feel certain Char let the thread run because of the interest shown in it. I just hate it when peoples feelings here seem to be hurt.

Well said Larry. And Daniel we'd love to continue on over the porch swing. We have great people over there nodding nodding there are also great sandbox forums to share a little bit of everything if you would prefer something like that. Thumbs up

I agree that Char is just doing her job to keep the thread on topic because many, many more people than we realize lurk on these threads. And it's most likely that they may be looking for information about the thread title topic.

I have really enjoyed the photos and stories you've shared with us about your beautiful family! You certainly have reason to be one proud papa! Smiling Group hug
