Hi everyone ! I'm glad to share my pictures with you again !
Thank you for all the thumbs up and accorns given to me !
Josephine, I don't know why it is called "perezosa" ( lazy in English). Sometimes they have some strange names.
I saw one Zebra Longwing a couple of days ago. And last month weeks ago for a few days one was around. But I thought November was getting a bit late to see one! Lazy? Maybe. The Common Mestras have a funny way of flying also, I think!
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

Go figure, there's some butterfly eggs on my milkweed outside! Hmm...which species? Hoping the mama doesn't come back...I'd be doing good to raise these with what very limited milkweed foliage I have here!

I logged out of Facebook to see if you can still see it and you can. You might have to close the box asking you to join, but you can still see your post there. Dave (I think Dave writes them) used your picture with a message about how gardening unifies us. It's really nice.
Thanks for that link, Melanie. I was impressed with Dave's message because it's so true. Today I will go to lunch with a group of ladies that we call the Garden Group. We have been meeting monthly for almost 17 years. While some of them are no longer able to garden like they did in their younger days, their love of nature remains strong. As does our enduring friendships, which I treasure.
Congrats to @ceci for being one of the "Noteworthy Acorn Tips" listed in this week's newsletter. In case you missed it, here's her post: http://garden.org/thread/view_...
One of the sections includes the top acorn-getters for the past week. So you get to see the top ten folks who got the most acorns for posts, banners, ideas, etc. Simple answer - it means we like you!
