Yes those are much smaller fans than I normally get, they are even smaller than the ones I got from the same vendor in the summer last year. So I was a little disappointed especially in the 'American Freedom' fans with no foliage. But it just goes to show that even a poor looking plant like that can make a fairly rapid recovery.
Here are the plants today, not looking great, but much improved!
'American Freedom': There is the one large fan on the left and actually three small fans on the right. It appears the damage to the crown caused the plant to produce what looks like side shoots coming off of it.
'Azure Wings' looking pretty darn good I think.
'Chicks Dig It': Two nice sized fans now.
'Circle of Beauty': I am pleased with how it has done.
'Done With Pride':
Geneva Firetruck':
'Happy and Blessed'
'School Bus':
But here are the four plants I planted just 10 days earlier that were "normal" size when received.
'Freaky Good': Already has a scape and buds.
'Gossip Girl': Already had a scape and blooms, still some buds left.
'Chesapeake Bay':
'Cherry Ice Cream Smile': Also a scape and buds on this one already. This one I am afraid will be a rust bucket, it was showing a lot of rust so I thinned out the rusty leaves.
