Pamela, it's hard to answer your questions without knowing more. How much water did you give each time, I think you said previously that you give them measured amounts? How much fertilizer did you give? Why were they repotted (if that was the plant in question)? Did you water them well before repotting? Too much fertilizer can definitely kill plants but we have no idea how much you gave.
I agree with WillC, do your self a favor and go out and buy your daughter a few new plants. While I was in the hospital for 3 days my friend decided to water my plants, she over watered most of them, I was very lucky I only lost 4.. I'm sure you learned your lesson

After reading all the feeds back and with the facts i have i believe i gave too much ferterlizer to over dry plants but i will explain exactly what i did.
On wednesday 23 i think, i watered my daughters plants. Id guess they each got a cup maybe a little more, the follow night i checked the plants.. ill add pics of each plant im speaking of now. They had dryed a good bit so i watered again.bout the same amou t. The i repotted a Patunia and another plant. Not the impatient though. Then in rhe same night i made a gallon of fertilizer and gave most all of it to the 5 plants.
The following day the impatient looked about dead and all the others were great but one had a lil limp stem. Thats all other wise everything else was great.
Some pics added 2 times. I couldnt remember what i had already uploaded.
They do look dry in the pictures although we can't tell how dry beneath the surface. The pictures are from before you gave them about 5 cups of water each over two days, three of those cups containing fertilizer if I'm understanding correctly? We still don't know how much fertilizer you put in that gallon of water.
Edited to add an afterthought, I would not immediately fertilize newly repotted plants. The potting mix likely already has fertilizer in it to last several weeks. But that is digressing somewhat since the impatiens didn't get repotted, just again for future refernce.
Which end, the large end or the small? I don't have a scoop handy but one site says it is 1 and 1/2 tablespoons at the large end and I believe the small end is half a teaspoon? The package recommendation is half a teaspoon per gallon for houseplants, so the small end of the scoop. So if you used the large end you gave them 9 times the recommended amount if my calculation is correct (1.5 tablespoons = 4.5 teaspoons).

Thanks again. Idk why I even thought to try again... I gave my daughter some Ivy as she had mentioned she wanted some , I will buy her a new inpatient asap. Thanks for everyones help.
Also
I removed the plant from the pot ran luke warm water over the root ball until not much soil was left in this process i found what looked like new growth at the base of the plant on top the root. So I finshed removing most of the soil and cleaned it up the best I could and rhen repotted it. I didnt completely cover the new growth, almost ... but not completely so that it may get some sun today. It looked as if it had just broken though the soil itself.. but im not 100% sure of that, as I didnt notice it until I had already started running water over it. So..
I will add pics asap and I did cut down the plant alot . What was obviously dead I removed. That was not the entire plant though. The base was ok There was a stem still looking ok with some small foliage on it.. idk if its gonna produce us anything or maybe the new growth will idk.. only Time shall tell. Ill add updates.
Thanks again for everyones help opinions, and the rest...
