Amazingly my Bc Binosa 'Tetraploid' is still at it, opening new spikes.

Wow, Ursula! Your Bc Binosa 'Tetraploid' is amazing...love those colors, love those freckles and especially love the fantastic number of blooms..that's one happy plant!
I have a Recca. Frances Fox 'Sun Spot' that is just starting to bloom, this one gave me 2 spikes and quite a few buds.

I got it from Plantio last year and it came in a basket with a few chunks of bark
and charcoal...not my preferred arrangement , but the plant is happy so I'm not
tempting fate and putting it in a pot! Whistling

Lovely sunset shades on that one, and the spotty lip is just amazing.

Wonder if it's related to Copper Queen - seems like the lip is similar?

according to Google ...Frances Fox has Blc. Polka Dot and Myrmecophila tibicinis
Copper Queen has Toshie Aoki and Richard Mueller.
I know Richard Mueller shows up in a few of my 'Rum Punch' plants...I'll have to look at the Polka Dot one now!

Thanks all!
Elaine, isnt your 'Yellow Bird' usually referred to as 'Maybe Yellow Bird'? Maybe that's why is has fewer spots??
I brought all my in bud and in bloom plants inside...tonight is supposed to be on the cool side...tomorrow night , more so.

This is why I love Cattleyas in bloom in Winter! It was raining today and fairly miserable outside. The pink is Princess Teresa next to Chia Lin, still in bloom. The second of my Rlc Hawaiian Green Valley opened and this one IS backgrossed to digbyana Laura'. It is quite green!

Hilarious! Yes, I do have "maybe Yellow Bird" on the big cork raft, but I also have one that has a label. Neither of them are as spotty as yours, though. Mine only have a few spots on the lips.

I've been out there "schlepping" my tender babies back into the house today. Supposed to be a high of 63 tomorrow and lows near 40 - brrrr! So all the Vandas except the blue ones get to come indoors tonight, and a whole bunch more will come in tomorrow. Everybody with buds has to come in. I found two spikes extending out on my Myrmecophila wendlandii X Schom. undulata tetra 'El Hatillo'.

Lindsey, just an idea since this is only a one-night cold snap - can you just hide the tender babies under one of your benches and use the bench to 'tent' some cloth or something to protect them? The ground is still plenty warm and will radiate lots of heat for one night.

I'm not sure about the Psychopsis, but I'm leaving my Epi's Oncs and Tols out there along with most of the Catts and Brassavolas.

Thanks Ted..
Elaine..the weather 'experts' are also calling for a little bit of wind along with this cold..tonight and tomorrow night as well. I can't wait for the polycarbonate panels to be installed on my pergola so I can make a shelter of some sort out on the bench...

Wind is a good thing, it keeps the cold from settling. It was 46 here this morning, should be colder tomorrow. All my tender plants that are not already inside are on a seedling heat mat in a corner of my deck and another on the front porch. Those mats have been my lifesavers for several years now. It is amazing how many plants you can snuggle up together in 8 square feet.
