Gary, I think you are and will be missing the icy part of the storm, we are getting slammed with the ice (just south of the cities), they are delaying school starts by 2 hours.

I'm also happy to be missing the ice storm... and to be having a bit of a January thaw! It was nice to be able to go outdoors today and breathe without it hurting my nose Thumbs up

Everything in greenhouse was OK but some buds & blooms got upset & shriveled. If folks want to see what happened to plants that didn't fit in GH:

Rj yes it stayed south of me. It was just some sleet and rain. Messy but no problems. One of the advantages to working at a 24 hour facility is that you can check out the driving conditions with the incoming people.

RpR said:I actually feel bad for you Southern folks when a arctic blast swoops down to the deep South, that can kill many plants, especially trees that simply cannot stand such a sudden temp. variation.

I have read that the huge botanical gardens in England suffer horribly when they get the rare arctic blast that drops freezing temps. tens of degrees below average.
Some trees that are over a century old succumb.

The reason it's so hard to lose weight when you get up in age is because your body and your fat have become good friends.
