Just dealing with drizzle all day here today and it will freeze overnight which means I'll be dealing with black ice and idiotic drivers tomorrow. Sighing!

It was a very fine snow falling this morning on my way home. It was so fine it felt like a liquid mist. I look outside and am glad I am inside.

In Western PA we have an ice advisory. Ice is falling from the sky and hurting people. I'm at work (I work overnight in healthcare) and we cannot leave our place of employment, as per security, until the all-clear is given. I may be here for a day or so.

Icy roads here with snow on the way pretty soon. Had freezing drizzle for most of the day yesterday and there are wrecks everywhere today. I'm supposed to work tonight but don't think it's going to happen but playing the waiting game for now.

Whoops, I just saw that we have a 100% chance of snow tomorrow morning, from 6 AM till 11 AM. I doubt there will be any accumulation because the ground will be too warm. It is now 71 with a record-breaking high of 76 F predicted.

We will break the record if we hit the predicted 81 degrees today. I have the a/c on to get rid of the 63% humidity in the house. Currently cloudy, breezy, threatening rain and 76 outside. Going out to do some shopping with DD in shorts and a tank top. There is a freeze headed from the north (That you all are probably getting right now) that is supposed to hit us Sunday night and stick around through Tuesday. No snow in the forecast. Not surprising. Even though nothing in the yard needs my immediate attention, I will enjoy this warm weather while we have it.

Talked to my sister who lives in Florida today. I am envious. She has the door open and fresh air sunshine coming in.

Yep, I have great weather too, Gary. It is now 78 F and breezy (15-20 mph). I opened up the windows in the solarium.

No snow here yet, just light ran. The temperature has been dropping since midnight, when it was 66F. The temperature now is 32 and will continue dropping until around noon. The forecast is still for snow beginning around 8:00 AM and continuing until noon.

-2 and sunny currently. We have about 2 inches or so of the white stuff on top of the ice. Big chore for the day is thawing out all the vehicles so we don't have to worry about not being able to get to work tomorrow.

At 8:00 AM it was 22F and I have on two sweat shirts, (light) insulated long johns, blue jeans, and fur-lined moccasins. I also put on a heavy, insulated jacket just to put the garbage out and pick up the papers, a trip outside that probably takes 90 sec. My old body just can't take the cold anymore. Crying

Everything in perspective, huh, Gary? We won't get out of the 30's today but at least the sun is out.

I wish I could just stay in but we have promised a friend, who lives in a town 25 miles from us, that we would treat her for lunch. It is her birthday. Then I have an appointment with my dermatologic surgeon. I will find out if any more work needs to be done on my nose (laser).

Have managed to escape a hard frost here so far. Predicted 79 for Christmas.

First Narcissus of the season to bloom:

Tiny, excess succulents not big enough to bring into GH still look great:
Thumb of 2016-12-23/purpleinopp/40fdfc

An excess Alternanthera that didn't score a spot in GH is blooming & has turned a pretty red color (above Swedish ivy, Plectranthus verticillatus.)
