BetNC said:@ChefDebbie I grew Celebrity tomatoes this year and kept production records, too (prolly not as complete as most of y'all semi-professionals, but I'm TRYING!!!).
I'll post it in a few hours: they're in the other room but I JUST laid down to rest after exercising my new k nee, so will fetch them the next time I get up. (Today marks a milestone: I've been home a full week aft3er my total knee replacement! I can almost do everything myself and will try to drive in a few more days!!) **HINT HINT** Stay off the roads. . . and the sidewalds. . heck, to REALLY be safe, take a short vacation OUTSIDE of North Carolina!!!
BetNC said:here's my info re Celebrity. . .
Vendor information:
hybrid
Determinant
height 2-4'
DTM: d70
fruit: red 7-10 oz globe (slicer), flattened top & bottom
special attributes: late blight resistant, heat tolerant, vining habit
My production notes from this year
sowed seed indoors 3-5-16
transplanted outside May 1 (~8 weeks later) as 1 of 2 tomato plants in an Earthbox
plant grew very highly branched (NOT vining), dense and compact
picked first ripe tomato 75 days later (7-14)
produced 46 fruit from then until cut down Sept 2
***production peaked in late July, with only 1 small fruit produced after 8-8
**plant did NOT continue to flower in the heat of late July and Aug
fruit size and shape variable, with yellowish-red shoulders when ripe
fruit was juicy, meaty and very tasty
plant mature size was about 4.5'

BetNC said:I, too, have a mixture of heirlooms and hybrids. I started them Feb.28 (I just COULdN'T wait any longer!!! ) I was lucky and all germinated, came up. . .they are under lights, waiting to see their first true leaves yet.
I re-pot twice, about every three weeks: first into regular size coffee cups (8 oz) and then into those jumbo RED Solo cups! (red IS supposed to be good for tomato plants; besides, red and green looks better than blue and green! )
I harden off in March, so by April 1 they're spending all day outside!! Then May 1st, it's transplanting time!! Into Earthboxes and patio containers and they start experiencing the nights!! ( I DID take pity on them their first few nights outside and covered them up; after all my time and effort, it'd be a shame just to let them suffer and/or die from my negligence at this point!)
P.S. Since I live in an apartment, my DIY grow station is set up in my living room. . . so color co-ordination is. . . . important?

Most are open pollinated types with one or two hybrids.
