I read somewhere that margarine is only one molecule away from polyester. Whether that's true or not I'm NOT going back to margarine! Butter and lots of it!

I can't believe I'm alive. I grew up on margarine and fried chicken in Crisco. Crossing Fingers!

My favorite use for tomatoes is a tart. Layers of Phyllo dough, (brushed with butter)!
Layered with slices of tomato, mozzarella, and basil...
Heaven!

I can't make my moms potato salad either. I know EXACTLY what goes in it and how much as I was the one growing up that had to peel the potatoes and boil and peel the eggs. And chop other ingredients.

Can't make my moms pancakes either that she made from scratch. I mean I do make them but they just don't turn out the same as hers.

My mom's tomato salad comes from Costco. She never made any. Even though her specialty was deviled eggs. She loved to make them.

I just eat real butter. My cholesterol is not something I worry about, good or bad.

I keep hearing that it's not animal fats, it's sugar that raises cholesterol. Pass the butter!

I eat sugar too, but they come from sugarcane or coconut sugar. I eat tons of fruit and ice cream too. I minimize the sugar from carbs though, I think that is the problem.

I have cut down on eating sugar, I am a chocoholic, and I feel better without all the sugar in my system. I do put sugar in my coffee. Thumbs up

I've also tried to cut sugar out of my diet....
Started drinking my coffee black with honey. Love it, and feel much better about it...
Local, of course!

Just did one of my tomato tarts today...didn't have any mozzarella, so I used Feta instead. OMG! Sooo good! So much better!
Think it'll be Feta from now on!

I never could find any flavor in mozzarella. When I make my little English muffin pizzas I just use bits of cheddar.
