LOL I had pix of my Buggy bulbs there were none smaller than a hard ball and more than a few the size of softballs. Somehow the 25 count order swelled to over 35. What a gal!

Moby, I can't believe the incredible size of that oriental bulb! That thing looks like a soccer ball!

I wish Buggy were still in the bulb selling business. It looks like I really missed the boat with that one!

Soccer ball? Don't be silly, it was only the size of a cantaloupe. Big Grin

Maybe you haven't missed out completely, I'm hoping that we can keep Buggy's beauties going and share with others.

You win with that one. I have never seen a bulb that big. Its Oregon I just know it.
Would a bulb that big put up 1 huge stemmed lily? or more than one.?

That is a whole 'nother story, but I don't want to highjack this thread. In short, it put out 2 very fasciated stems and a couple single ones.

Well start another thread then, Missy.

I would love to know what determines how many lily stems you get per bulb. I know it depends on the kind of lily, and maybe you could show off your fasciation. That would be a nice conversation.

Moby, that would be great thread if you want to start a new one. Or I don't mind if you all want to continue the discussion here. I would love to learn about bulb size vs. number of stems! Smiling

I'll start a thread for bulb size, and one for fasciated flowers.

We all know how shy our Moby is. Akkk. LOL.

I didn't know you were retiring, good for you! I retired at age 57, everyone should do that, it's fun.

No dears, not retiring in that sense, I meant as in withdrawing from contact with others; reserved.

I can't imagine why you'd be confused. Hilarious!

I wish! I'm just 'cresting the hill' so I've got a few years to go before I get to retire for real.
