Lisa,
I have Awesome and Zeus; no guarantee but I'll try to unearth some this spring and if I do, I'll send you some. You sure were my favorite lily connection. I'm glad to learn you're getting along ok. I need to move several other lilies as my Paw Paw trees are colonizing that area with some vigor. Some resident's there needing re-located are July Snow, July Mint, Queen Kong, Sunwolf, Suncrest, and Black Beauty. If it happens, I'll let you know. Eye problems have limited my garden availability.for the past year. I'll have to see if further fallout in that life segment precludes fulfillment of the plan outlined...sometimes, you know, the "best laid plans of mice and men..."
I've grown F.persica a couple of times, a very neat plant, however, for me it's not had the ability to survive the winters. This year I'm planning to grow Chocolate Cosmos (C. atrosanguineus) again. It lasted 3 years for me a decade ago.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

I would love any and all but Black Beauty, I do have it. Well my cosmos didn't survive for me here, and I dug all the F. persica so I could spring plant them (for bloom), plus I moved anything of value out of the front yard and behind the fence so it would be safe. I did lose a few woody things due to bad cold w/o snow in early Dec. Last spring I lost some lilies (yes DEAD, they were small bulbs and brand new) to a late spring frost so this year I am mulching them deeper to keep them from growing too soon. Plus I will copper spray them if they come up too soon. And maybe break out the buckets. My back is fenced with a 6 foot wood fence and it creates a frost pocket.
I have bulbs I can send in the fall, I only have Satisfaction and Pink Trumpets left out right now, I planted all weekend, it got nice. I have Acidenthera, Calla, Canna, Tigridia, Babiana, Sauromatum, Amorphophallus konjac, Amorphophallus bulbifer to trade (none of which are hardy), and Arisaema sikokianum(small bulbs-supposed to be hardy to Zone 5) to trade if you want any email me at myhandle AT hotmail.com or treemail me. I won't be planting those for awhile yet. I do have an order in at Faraway Flowers -had a bit of panic when my old link didn't work and emailed Ramona who reassured me she is still in biz. But those are all new - finding those old cultivars is hard.
And I could send you some F. persica in the Fall, if you keep it cool and in dry peat or sawdust it may last until spring, I did mine in Early March, we thawed and they were sprouting. They do not like pots much, they shrink like lily bulbs but in OR it was the only way to keep them dry.
Just let me know if you want anything and if you do any moving in the fall let me know, I will have more available in the fall.

I'll keep you apprised of developments and situations.
It's 23 and cold all week here. Good to know Ramona is well, I'd like to get some new lilies but I've run out of room. I need to do some serious thinking about the direction my garden has evolved into. You want any Gloriosas come May? I've got far too many...

ARE THEY HARDY?
If so yes, I have lots of fence and am going vertical. I have never tried them but always wanted to.
At least we are relatively warm here. I don't think so but when I look at others I guess I am better off than some. What a winter!!!!!
Let me know and i will send postage or something alive.

Not hardy, I grow mine in very large pots w/ trellis', overwinter them in the basement. Every year they about double their number.

Well I could try that, I have a half ton of stuff down there right now! I plan to bring it up this weekend, I will be having some cold covers on hand just in case. I could trellis them on my porch, I have a huge porch that I decorate all year, right now it is plastic flowers and birdhouses, plus shiny tinkling things. I must have some color to look at during the bleak season. I trellised my chain downspouts with fake ivy, it got lots of attention when I first did it. I kept my fuchsias and Alstroemerias on my back porch and they are doing well, soon I can put them out. Here is a photo from last July, with giant black holly hocks. You can't see the fake ivy from this. Can't see much of anything behind the giant hollyhock!

Well it is pretty bleak here in winter. I decorate with fake flowers and bright pinwheels then. I have to have the pin wheels so I can tell where my walkways are in the snow.

Buggy,
Your place looks pretty good to me. I like a front view w/ plants. Black Holly Hocks huh.
I noted the 1st bloom of 2014 for me today - a Scilla, I think
Sinus problem leveled me for a while.
I'll let you know when Gloriosa time (re-potting time) arrives, usually sometime in May.

There are potted plants hiding behind those monsters too. I am working on getting hummingbirds, last year I had 1. I used to have hundreds but hummingbirds are not as thick in town as they are in the country. But the squirrels, deer, moose, and now turkeys have figured out town is better eating than the country. At least there is a good 6 ft. solid fence around most of the place, now if only the cat would stay in it!
Here is the cat Pip meeting the turkeys for the first time.
