@MariposaMaid, I read your post 3 times to make sure I was not dreaming! I may have missed the thread while trying to bring in plants for the winter and get my seeds organized! How generous! Ok!

That's awesome!

Ciao all-

My wish list has been historically obnoxiously long and specific, leaning more towards edibles. Starting over in a new climate without raised beds yet for growing a lot of food, I've done a 180 degree turn. This list is mostly general and leaning more towards ornamentals. I'm looking mostly for shorter versions of traditionally taller flowers (like hollyhock, bee balm, cosmos). I like cool colours like white, blue, black, green, bronze, burgundy, brown, true red, and pink. I abhor orange and I'm not a huge fan of yellow. I prefer named varieties, please no mixes or NOIDs. That way I can pick where I want things to go. Thanks for looking!! Lovey dubby

Looking especially for foliage and flowers suitable for hanging baskets, also flowers to attract hummingbirds and host plants for butterfly larvae as well as nectar plants for adult butterflies.

Agastache, any named
Aster, blue ones
Bee Balm, any especially dwarf
Bells of Ireland
Bleeding Heart, any
Calendula, Snow Princess
Callibrachoa, if seeds exist, any non-orange
Candytuft, any named
Cleome, any named
Coleus, any with black, bronze or burgundy

Dianthus, any chinense
Echinacea, any non-purple, white, or green

Hollyhock, any dwarf doubles
Kale, any ornamental, Black Magic
Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate
Lavender, any non-hidcote especially Kew Red
Marigold, any white, cream, or signet
Millet, Jade Princess
Pansy, any cool colours especially doubles and black

Pepper, Piquillo
Pepper, White Fatalii
Poppy, Bread - any non-orange

KelliW,
I found some seeds on my berkheya plant, but am not sure that they are viable since they don't appear as large as the ones I originally purchased. I've added them to the swap list.

@Dave - It's a thread where swappers here post lists of their respective wishes -https://garden.org/thread/view/61535/Wish-Lists/

Also, maybe the other swappers know this - When we receive our lists of who gets which packet they dibbed on, is there a way to find out who else might have wished for a dibbed packet? In some cases, I could split up a packet if there's interest.

Thanking @Dave and All for clarifying these questions,

karen

@Bluespiral Karen right now there is now way we can see who wished our seeds, just how many. Other thank asking there is no way to know.

Ronnie - I understand - and respect all the pros and cons that went into that decision - keeping a group harmonious has not always been one of my talents - so I'm good with whatever y'all decide.

Participating in a swap like this with fellow plant and garden enthusiasts is a gift and I'm enjoying every moment of it.

I may sound greedy but when I called dibs on a package I take consideration of how many seeds being offered. I have from past experience found that not all seeds will germinate even doing as directed for germination. So like on one of the seeds I really want has only 10 seeds. I be unhappy to find my package only had 3 seeds to share with others. And then non of the 3 germinated be a big disappointment. And some seeds I want multi plants for mine and my mom yard. Since I do her gardening now.

So amount of seeds we dib is that not final on our amount to be our seeds packages?? Just wondering how this suppose to work.

Shirley you will receive the amount of seeds noted in the description of the provider of those seeds. I don't think anyone was referring to providing less than the stated amount.

I don't remember ever being shorted on seeds in this swap but it is not unusual to find more seeds than I expected! I know I will typically add more than stated (unless it's a weird amount like 14 seeds, you can expect only that amount). Also, if I have two packs of something and only one person dibbs on it, then I'll often give that person both packs.

I'm really sorry guys but I'm not going to look over these to try and gift things or post a wishlist. While I loved the surprise aspect of the wishlist type swaps I did in the past, it was a lot of work and I found it could be frustrating. Maybe I'm just getting lazy! In the past I spent a lot of time reading all these long wishlists that oftentimes were full of duplicates, typos, or vague entries open to interpretation. Plus, you never knew when you chose to gift someone something if ten other people were doing the same thing or if the recipient already had that plant. Then the host would have to go through everything that everyone sent in and try to sort it all out and make sure everyone got a fair amount, which I always imagined was a monumental effort too. I like the simplicity of this system because I can just put up what I have and whoever wants it can dib it. So please, no one be offended if I don't gift you something extra...I'm just lazy! Shrug!
