Thanks Anna & Sue...I've been admiring both of your clematis blooms that are in the database

Sue, it was tagged as H.F. Young when I purchased it, but looking through blooms photos, I am not certain. It does fade a bit when it warms up more. Here are some photos of it last year with the more faded bloom (the second photo has another unidentified clematis growing within it):

Lovely shots. I can believe it is HF Young as many clem's vary in color as far as soil, weather and the zone where it's being grown.

That extra one, rear left, could be Rouge Cardinal or possibly Ernest Markham or maybe Vino or Ruutel. Keep taking photos of it and posting them so we can all help you with an identification for it.

That one is not blooming yet, but I will make sure to take some pics to hopefully get an id! I just bought Niome a couple of days ago and hopefully will have blooms soon of that to post as well. So happy that spring is here!

Thanks Regina, I love Dr. Rupple so much that I got a 2nd one today along with 2 Mrs. N Thompson.

It's interesting that the new Dr. Ruppel has 2 different blooms coming from the same plant. I don't know if it is a sport, or another if clematis was planted very close to Dr. Ruppel, at least the colors complement each other.

Do you mind sharing where you purchased them? They look like they are on the same type of trellis as the one I just got last week (Niobe); perhaps they are from the same supplier...

The tag on both clematis said Queen of the Vine. I didn't see another company name. I bought the plants at a local nursery, Northside Gardens.
