I just bought these 3, so they are kind of cheats, but they are blooming! Euphorbia 'Diamond Frost,' Salvia splendens & Dianthus that smells SO GOOD!!!

I've said it before & I'll say it again, AL has the best "weeds!" These are all found. I don't really cultivate the spiderwort but if a clump isn't in the way, I leave it. With Oxalis crassipes.


This didn't volunteer, but appropriated from a friend who was mowing over it. First bloom on any of my patches of it this year.


Cute little native Venus looking glass (Triodanis.) Now that I know what these are, I try to weed around them. They do their own thing aside from that.

Stuck an Easter cactus (Hatiora/Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri) cutting in the ground about 2 yrs ago & it's still there, has not been brought inside for 2 winters.

Wax Begonia on the right, which I knew was hardy, and cane Begonia on the L that survived at the roots over this past winter. In the fall I clipped it at ground level, and it's back!

Caladiums start to show.

Glads also starting to put on a show.

Pretty! You have some very pretty Glads. Mine are blooming here too, of course. We're only 25 miles apart LOL! Usually by this time in the season, I would have been out wildflower spotting a few times but my senior-citizen car hasn't been up to doing much lately.
