You are right about the 'junk'. I used to decorate for mom every year after she couldn't anymore. Although I'd store them every year, even Christmas lights became impossible to try to pick through and repair. I'd get all frustrated, put them back in the box with intentions to get to them in warmer weather, and pick up some new cheap ones. After the holidays though they'd end up stashed in the back of her storage cabinet never to come out until the next season. EGAD!!! They're in my basement now.

we bought a tool to fix some of the light strings.. but of course it doesn't work for all of them.. but to fix a few on site at times was worth the $20.00 for it.. called the light keeper pro

I see. I will keep that tool in mind. There are times when I am too happy and need to brandish myself with some mental torcher. It looks like it would be useful for that.

Jae I used that tool again today.. what a wonderful thing!!!.. fixed one of our signs in just a few mins today

DH bought our tree today from the ed(ucation) fund. It might as well stay in our garage as stay outside on their stand. It doesn't come inside until several days before Christmas.

We always take the hose with the spray nozzle on it to the tree. It cleans all the dirt off & loose needles. The tree ends up prettier in coloration without the dust & dirt. We let it sit outside till it dries.
