we bought an animated singing christmas tree that has an audio jack that will move it's mouth and eyes to sound ... I took it apart and covered it with a halloween mask.. you can hook up a microphone line to it.. but if it's music it will look like it's talking to a drum beat .. would have to be just a voice on the track played through it to only do vocals ... I couldn't figure out how to sync up two tracks to play at the same time.. one with music and one with voice.. and only have the vocals play into the tree.. so I just hooked the thing up and it sung to music sometimes .. wish I had some electronics background and was able to make something myself.. but I don't.. so I had to cheat Thumbs up

could be any kind of music tree... we might end up using it separately from the light show... we have stand alone controller boxes for props .. we can record something and have the thing talking.. not sure yet

They'd probably be good for peppers (especially in pots). They make pretty cute little Christmas trees though. You are so creative!

Oh! You know I have almost no sun either but I grow all kinds mixed in with the tomatos and basil all mixed into the perennial wall. (I leave a strip for them near the front (lower) edge.) They add such nice color, they are like flowers too!

I try and try from seed every year.. the only time I get lucky and get a few.. if I buy already established plants.. which I do now and then.. I tried containers a few times.. my deck is sunny.. but they were just ok.. not overly abundant that's for sure

I buy plants from the local greenhouse which is privately owned. I probably pay a little more that at the big boxes but he has lots of greenhouses, his plants are started early and are quite hardy; by the time I get them they are strong stemed and often in flower. With our late season, although there is some variability depending on variety, they typically take a long time but I usually get 6 -10 on a bush and have to stake them. Do you pick off the suckers like with tomatoes? Once it is apparent that they are fully bloomed, I fertilize only with low nitrogen to limit leaf growth and pick off any suckers. For some reason they seem to like to be mingled with tomato plants as well. Both enjoy basil.

This is my fav fertilizer for peppers as well as tommy-toes (notice the low N in the NPK): http://www.espoma.com/p_consum...
Once fruit is getting established we don't want to encourage leaf growth.

Sorry, WAAAY OT here!
