Kim, thank you very much. Neither of the seedlings are what I call "finished". I have a lot of work to do to get through all the threads and posts. I may be interested in too many different plants. This is a very large site, and you guys are just great.

Can someone please explain to me about cubits. How does that work?

I'll let someone else explain about how Cubits works; it makes me dizzy! I can work it now but I can't explain it well.

I am assuming cubits is a different website and not part of ATP after looking there.

There are no places near me where I can look at intros, so photos mean a lot.

ATP came out of Cubits -- sort of. Most of the gardening forums were on Cubits. Dave & Trish Whittinger are the inventors & "keepers" of Cubits as they are of ATP. When they started ATP the gardening Cubits were asked if they wished to move over here, which they did.

Cubits is the first website created after Dave left Dave's Garden, and as described on that site "Cubits.org is a community of communities. Each community is called a "Cubit" and anybody can create one." We had all kinds of plant related cubits and then hobbies, arts & crafts, pets, cooking, photography, health and everything in between, each cubit owned and maintained by it's owner/owners. Then Dave started All Thing Plants for just the plant related subjects and just about everyone with a plant cubit that wanted to move was imported over here. That's why you may see some photos in the database with the Cubits watermark over them.
Lots of folks visit and post on both sites. I maintain a Cubit for my own notes on my new garden and home but the garden improvements also go into a blog here on ATP.

Me too -- so I just deleted what I'd been writing. Lyle's Daylilies In The Desert Cubit stayed over there and a bunch of us participate in both. And a few months ago Dave copied all the Cubit plant databases over here to create the foundation for the ATP Plants Database, although at least one of them is still in both places -- the Irises Cubit. They elected not to move, although the owners are the moderators for the Iris Forum over here too. So there are now two separate databases for irises, and if you post a picture to the database over here it will not automatically be copied over there, and vice-versa.

Cubits is formatted a little differently in that when you go to the Irises Cubit, for instance, there are different Forums such as Discussion, Photos, etc. that all the threads and posts are sorted into, which caused confusion for some and others thought it was too cumbersome. But here it's all in one forum which is probably easier for most of us.

Also, all our user names and avatars for Cubits members were automatically set up over here, so they are identical and we can just zoom back and forth.
