Craig that tree Peony is so gorgeous!!
I really don't have that many Tree Peonies.
Here is my Silver Waves on a Magenta Ocean. It didn't leaf out as quickly as my other Tree Peonies, so it will hopefully bloom this Spring.

Liz that property looks wonderful! A private lake would be great! Did you google plant nurseries around that town to see what's there? Haha.

Nora, Honey Gold is beautiful.
Annette that tree Peony is beautiful.

Liz that land is beautiful. Speaking from 7B myself, ;you can grow about any type, just think afternoon and evening shade. Just think you will get to see things bloom on a new and early schedule.

LG, love your Silver Waves! I have tried several years now and two trees later and still no blooms. I guess they are more comfortable in a southern zone.

I know what you mean, Annette--my "Wanted" list has grown enormous! Beautiful blooms, everyone! Makes me absolutely crave spring! I just came in from covering the plants large enough to worry about, only took a few minutes. If it's warm enough (around or above freezing) in the morning I'll remove covers before going to work, if not it'll be Thursday morning. It's supposed to be rainy/snowy tomorrow with a high around 40, then back in the low 20's overnight. Fun!! I'm just glad it's only a few plants so far, this will be much more painful over the next 2 months....

Liz, I I feel your pain with covers on, covers off. I hope you get warmer weather that stays soon.

Oh Craig those are lovely TP's.

Annette my Do Tell is going to have a good bloom display. Lots of side buds this year that I will leave on. Yours is beautiful.
Nora, I like to look at the entire flower structure, too. I think it adds to the beauty.

Gary! I have NOID Tre. Peony about that same color.

Liz, check the zone for that town on the updated USDA map - it looked like 8a to me.
Here is my Peony of the Day. Coral Sunset. Mine are looking good this year.

Jin Zhang Fu Rong, or Gold Curtain Hibiscus. This will be its 4th spring. I am anxious to see if the blooms are more full this year. The buds are huge.

Yep, you're right LG, it's 8a. When I looked I just estimated based on the rough map but looking by town name it's more precise. i might be icing my peonies in the winter!

Wow Gary, I love that Tree Peony. Would you say it is lavender? It is hard to tell.

Craig, that Sunny Boy is awesome!!

Karen, I planted a PVW last fall. It still isn't up yet, but I'm not worried. That Iris in your photo goes so well with it.

Here is my photo of the day. It is a non registered Peony that came from Lowes called Annemieke. This is one reason to check out Lowes and other stores' potted peonies.

I agree The color on your Jin Zhang Fu Rong flowers is incredibly beautiful! Must look even more beautiful in person.

Now, I know why everyone wants a Sunny Boy! Craig, you are growing everything that is rare to find. You are a peony connoisseur! Your garden is a treasure trove for any peony enthusiast.

LG, can't believe that you were able to find such a beauty at Lowes. I don't ever see anything like that at my Lowes.

Thanks Karen, I always strive to find the unique ones.

LG that is beautiful! Like Karen said, my Lowes has nothing that attractive and unique. Great score!
