This cultivar is a good one for the early garden. Not only is its color somewhat unique, but it multiplies well making trouble-free clumps. The color opens a yellowish-pink, then develops into more of an apricot shade of pink.

Lovely banner, Leon. I have some of these and they are among my favorites.

Thank you Jean. These are always a welcome sight in spring. They seem to winter over very easily and require little care except for some fertilizer and dividing the clumps when overcrowded. I'd almost forgot about this banner and found some older pictures of them.

This clump has some mixed varieties. They are difficult to keep track of.
