I have noted additional requests put in. Will do my last digging tomorrow.
Astrantia has not been reseeding as much as I want to so no astrantia this year. Will do more primula seeds and heuchera for next year, will look for red astrantia seeds. I too love that plant.
Happy, tomatoes are iffy this year. Too much went wrong and weather was not very cooperative. Lots of damage to leaves, although I have planted mine in open pots a week ago and they look so much better now. Yes to extra Ulure Ochre. I should have list with descriptions avail by the swap time.
For tomatoes- they are overgrown, pleaase please please plant by trenching only. Trust me, it works much better in our region. You will get bigger root ball and better tomatoes as a result. http://www.frugalfamilyhome.co....
Many thanks to Karen for overwintering some heuchera, I think most of them were villosa variety. They overwintered fabulously so she will be bringing few to the swap.

Hurray! Unless you all come early I will get the first pick at the baby Heuchera!!! Rolling on the floor laughing

Seriously, all of you please trust me, if you see heuchera seedlings at the swap, grab them even though they might be itty bitty little things, because they will turn out to be such beauties you wouldn't believe.

Igoffen, OK for green Brunnera.

EvanstonNewb, OK for more fern, Carex greyii.

tini7777, Sorry I skipped Rudbeckia while posting the list eventhough I had actually labeled the plants for you already.
Will include Rudbeckia triloba to the group.
Sorry I do not have the kind of anemone you are looking for.
Thank you in advance for Hinkley jugs. I really, really would like these, the more the merrier.

jqsen, OK for Rudbeckia triloba & Brunnera.

Luvtogarden, Saturday after the swap is fine with me. I will keep a bleeding heart and leucojum at home for you. I can dig up more leucojum as well as other bulbs. Will give you my address when I see you at the swap.

To those who requested grape hyacinth/muscari:

They're from my uncle's yard, and when I went to dig them I saw he has star of bethlehem. The grape hyacinth wasn't very close to it but a seed or stray bulb could be among the muscari. I had one star of bethlehem pop up in my yard last year. I dug it right away, when I was afraid it would take over (at first I thought it would be as heartbreaking as creeping bellflower) and it's totally gone. I put it in a pot once I read it's not as much of an evil spreader as I thought, and it died!

I wanted to mention it so you can be on the lookout for it, or decide you don't want the bulbs. Star of Bethlehem (at least his) have striped foliage, like crocus, so it will be obvious once they come up next year.

Hey Mone,
Sat will work so far. I won't be getting there early - hopefully by 5. I have someone coming to fix my clock. (That sound funny!) It's not chimming again.

Heuchera seedlings for me too! Pretty please! Fancy expensive store bought heuchera were killed by the lack of snow cover. Phooey on them.

I'm getting mixed up between real names and forum names. What's Karen's forum name, so I can ask her for some? Oerickson, you have some too, or Karen does? Your heuchera seedlings were the only things that made it through the winter well.

I think I forgot to ask tini777 for the things she offered me. If it's too late or all taken, no worries. I know it's getting down to the wire. They were geranium sanguineum, cranes bill geranium, the Annebelle hydrangea, and little snow on the mountain, pachysandra and vinca ground cover for my friend's bare dirt yard.

I have trumpet vine orange bloom and can bring some cuttings of montauk daisy if anyone need. It roots very easily in water or soil. I got it last year from seedrat and it's doing very good. I needed to prune it.

Thanks, luvtogarden for the lamium in addition to the others. Thanks, too, tini777, for those plants as well.

Anyone interested in a giant solidago? It came to my garden mislabeled as Solidago Fireworks, but is taller. I have ID’d it as S. altissima or S. canadensis, which are natives. https://gobotany.newenglandwil...

It gets 4-5 feet tall, late summer/early fall bright gold graceful blooms. Spreads by runners, so it needs room to roam, which doesn’t work in my raised beds. I decided today that it’s too big for my garden. Scale is wrong for me. Anyone interested would have to have space for it, or have a wild garden or prairie planting, where it would look right at home.

Karen has not participated in forum but will come to swap/set up etc. I will forward link to this thread to her so she can mark your names for the table.
Linnea, this is the reason why I am not growing any Named heucheras anymore, they cost pretty $ but do not last long at all no matter care of location.
Mind you those are heuchera villosa, not americana Dale strain. One is darker variety and another is chartreuse green.

luvtogarden,

I would love to try to grow the Malva zebrina. I have full sun in the morning or full sun in the afternoon, but no place to have sun all day, so do you think it will do ok?
If you have anymore lamium, that is doing great in my front and would love more!
Thank you~

For TINI777 - Yes, the pinky white peony is fine!

For LUVTOGARDEN - If you have any Malva Zebrina and Vinca Minor left, would love to have them.

Thanks!

Those are very pretty! I have been looking into villosa strains in the hope of getting ones that will survive. I know they are recommended for southern heat, but it seems like they might be tougher as well.

I have been out digging and potting in the rain for two days, boy am I happy for fleece tights and rain pants! And hot tea!

All the plants look pretty perky with this weather, I hope they'll look good in your boxes and on the tables.

A reminder, please let us know on here if you discover you're not able to come at all, or if you'll come after 5:30pm. I like all the plants to find a home so if I don't hear from people I usually put the plants on the regular tables after 5:30.

Also, if you want to swap irises, we're planning to do an iris swap in about a month (date TBD by some people's work schedules). Probably a Saturday afternoon thing. I think most of it will be pre-trading so it can be a quick swap, somewhere in the Skokie area. I started a page for it, here:

JQSen, your Carolina Allspice is coming to you in a bucket that you can keep, or I'll have a plastic bag you can transfer it into. It would have taken too big and heavy a pot if i did dirt.

Some additional info
Plant swap will officially starts 4pm but some people will be there earlier as we start set up in the morning. Clean up starts at 7 pm.
Please remember that pretrading is done by small group, although very active, of gardeners.
There will be more people who did not participate in pretrading.
Remember to bring your extras for general tables. We generally have been lucky to have good number of experienced gardeners and newbies so things equal out in the end.

Hopefully we will have good turnout and yes, we are rain or shine going. There is 50% chance of rain tomorrow so plan accordingly.

I know what you mean! I should get rain pants. My first day of digging was done in continuous rain. Though not exactly raining yesterday when I was digging, everything I pushed through in the jungle was sopping wet.
