Thanks Margaret!

Rudy - How much snow did you get ? I have the parentage for seedling 9036 - ROSES IN SNOW X LESLIE RENEE] X ROSES AND GOLD - This looks like a good seedling for the northern garden if the bloom holds.

Lyle, I especially like your whites/near whites. I grow a lot of whites and now have some nice white seedlings to evaluate.

I just saw where Colorado got a lot of snow and they mentioned that NM got some too. Ya'll immediately came to mind. Glad to hear that you only got a little. It was around 75 here yesterday, beautiful sunny day. Today is rain and rain and rain. Very grey day, nothing like yesterday at all. I think it got up to about 53. Well, jjust looked for the next seven days our temps will be mid 50's and low 30's. This is pretty normal for us but we ususally have a few exteremly cold days in in Jan and Feb that go into low teens without getting above freezing for 3 or 4 days and we just haven't had that this year at all. We'll be ate alive by bugs this summer. Oh well, with warmth comes a few bad things. It's been great for the heating bill. Last Jan I got one over $300 and so far the high has been $100.

Blessings to all, Mona

Ann - One program that I will maintain is the near white, I feel a lot gets lost with the daylily fads and sometimes to keep up with what's popular certain colors get left in limbo. It is nice to know you are working with the whites....

Rudy - That .05 should just be a nice watering..

Mona - I hope your weather holds, and the heating bills stay low.

To me white blooms in the garden are outstanding, especially about dusk. They are like beacons.

I love white also. I'm planing on doing an all white bed, somewhere. I need to put it where it will be seen so I may do one close to the area where we all sit in the evenings. We don't have a porch, which is a lifetime want, so we sit under one of the big Oaks in the front yard. I've never put a bed close to this because DH has always said he was going to put a driveway there. But after 20 years of no driveway, I think it's time I claimed some of it for a new bed. HHHHMMMM WHITE, other than daylilies, what else would be good???

Blessings to all, Mona

White phlox for mid and late summer. White mums for fall. White Annabelle hydrangeas for the background.

White alyssum as a border, perfumes the garden and they bloom from spring until a hard frost kills them in the fall.

I love alyssum. I planted some amongst the daylilies several years ago and they still come up every year. They do smell wonderful.

The alyssum doesn't do well in hot climates. It is beautiful and I have tried many times, but have given up.

OHHH yes, I love Annebelle hydrangea. I've tried rooting it from cuttings several times, with no luck. I've been meaning to purchase one and now would be a good time. I have many white bearded Iris, so that's covered. I love phlox, but I only have just a pinch of pink so I'll have to look for white.

Oh yes, I have some Nora Barlow white seeds that I could plant. Nor Barlow Columbine that is. It's a favorite plant. I'll have to start some seed in the GH. They won't bloom until next year, but that's ok.

Now, to decide the shape and how big. Thanks for the suggestions, Blessings to all, Mona

I have found petunias to be the best white bloom in my grow zone in the spring and venica in the summer.

Last season I still was involved with the dark and white blooms something I probably should stick with one or the other...........

Larry's Obsession kid (left)-- with a Fringy kid( right) one end of the color spectrum to the other. What possibility lies in between?

The LO seedling may go in my spring seedling sale (if i have one) I have a lot of dark seedlings, and this year i will use NINA VERHAERT with a few, also a couple off my new ones............

I would like to see some pink toothy ones come from my crosses, i don't know if i will have the time.

I have started with this F2 seedling----
