You know, it actually could be Barbra Streisand. The color's off, but if you look at the photos in our database, you'll see that many of them "skew pink." Skiekitty's photo looks the most like the true color.
Rose (Rosa 'Barbra Streisand')
The rose starts out a medium lavender and ages to a paler lavender. The photo in question (Michele's top photo) probably was taken in bright sun and didn't have the right blue balance. The correct blue balance can be seen in Michele's second photo. Compare the foliage colors in the two pictures.
As for the shape of the rose bush, this is the right shape. I really don't know why Barbra Streisand is classified as a hybrid tea. It rarely produces the high-centered "exhibition" blooms that are so common in modern hybrid teas, and it often blooms in clusters. It's actually a grandiflora, I suppose.
Welcome to NGA, Michele. In short, you may have a Barbra Streisand rose, and you may have something else. In either case, it's a lovely rose bush and looks quite healthy, so you're doing remarkably well for a novice gardener.
