Larry Grace has updated his website with the 2012s http://www.gracelandgardens.co...

I really like DR. STUMP and WILD DREAMS. I have some dips I'd love to use with WD. I might have to pinch some pennies and order those.

Fred, I know you always get Larry's collections; when will you get yours?

Michele, are you going to order that collection? It's SPECTACULAR! And I sure hope Fred gets it! They all look really wonderful, and I truly wish I was a little richer!

I wasn't going to get the collection, I decided to just get DR. STUMP. However, I just got an email back from Larry's wife, Cindy, and she said they are sold out already but she'll put me on the list in case they have some in the spring. uuuuggggggggg

Michele, did you see the statement on the shipping page?

"$350.00 non refundable deposit accepted on collection orders balance due before shipping"

Now I'm assuming that what they are sold out of is the individual plants of DR. STUMP and not the collections, but does that statement make a difference for you since that amount comes really close to the price of DR. STUMP? Hope, hope! Because I sure would love to see you have that collection!

I would normally have them by now, but due to a huge peanut crop Larry got them lined out late, so I may not get them until Janurary, need to call and set a date I guess. I am guessing James will get them also so there will be plenty of blooms to share.

Well, I just did it -- I purchased the 2012 collection! It was reasonably priced enough, probably because there are only four introductions plus I can split it into two payments, and I totally love each and every one of them! And when I heard back from Cindy Grace just now, she said they only had 7 collections left and she was reserving one of them for me -- YEA!!!

Those are all really pretty. Especially DR STUMP. Betty, I can see why you just had to have them all. Well. WILD DREAMS is not that unusual but the other three are stunners.

Actually, at least for the first season I'll keep these in pots -- especially DR. STUMP! And I'm dying to see the red one in person. I only have a couple of reds that I really like, and there are quite a few "almost reds" that I can give away if this one really turns out to be more of a true red and more to my taste. But it's so beautiful anyway, just the type of daylily I really love!

I have so many daylilies that I've still never seen a bloom on, and this coming year I predict that I will be giving lots away as I'm refining my taste. I just dove into this within the last year or so, and I'm discovering my taste keeps changing from where I started, so I'm really not worried yet -- but come next summer if I've decided I want to keep absolutely everything -- then I'll have a problem!

Well, I reserved a collection. I kow I could use the pollen from Fred and James; however, I may want to use some as pod parents as well so I figured I'd go ahead and get it. They were down to 5 so now they have 4 left. Larry will actually be giving a presentation at the Mobile club in February next year. I've been to his place once with Fred and James; he has a HUGE greenhouse.

Michele, I'm really glad you were able to reserve a collection before they sold out. And thanks for that link to the Daylily Blog on Teeth Hybridizing. I hadn't checked it in months, actually had forgotten about it, and I really love DR. STUMP! Is there really a Dental Award? What a hoot! I'll also be getting DENTAL ACADEMY next spring too, so I'm in hog heaven now...

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing It's not a real award (the kind the AHS gives), but it is an award none the less. I can't remember where I read about it, it was on someones blog I think. I think there is a plaque that gets passed around to whoever is the current winner of the toothiest daylily (I could be wrong though). I had all the websites bookmarked on my old computer and don't have them on this one so I can't find things when I go to look for them.
