It was mentioned that my photos were to small, does everyone prefer the larger photos? I have been downsizeing them because of the people who may not have the best internet service, but have noticed most post the larger photos. Either one is fine with me I just need to know which to use.

I prefer the larger ones NOW since I am no longer on dial up. But when I was on dial up connection it would take FOREVER for the photos to load. Usually before the photos would all load my computer session would time out.

I like the large because you get to see more detail on everyones beautiful daylilies. Big Grin I asked Dave what the preferred size was especially for adding to the Database and he said 900 pixels. I found it is easy to resize using the edit on Windows Live Photo Gallery. Thumbs up

I also prefer the larger images because you can see details so much better And honestly, my pictures automatically get uploaded to IPhoto and I don't know how to resize them unless I drag each one to my desktop and the menu appears where I can edit them. So my larger pictures are a result of my ignorance rather than planning. But I have to admit I'm more pleased when I enlarge a picture here and it's really large so I can see details better.

I don't resize my photos anymore unless they are for the lily auction which has to be under 100MB which is usually about 400-500 pixels or there is stuff in the background I want to try and cut out.

I also like the larger photo as want to see detail in the bloom and plants. I used to resize on my old computer but not this one. Don't know if I could learn how now Big Grin

Steph my son showed me how to use the paint program a year or so ago to resize but I found that to be a lot of trouble so I didn't use it, Thumbs down then a week or so ago while cropping a photo on the WLPG I happen to notice it had resize, I tried it and it works like a charm. It keeps the original size and adds a copy with the new size. Thumbs up

Fred, either works for me. Maybe half way between these two sizes?

I usually downsize mine with photoshop to 800 pixels wide, then upload. The software here at ATP also resizes them so they fit within the guidelines Dave has set, so should not be to much of a problem for most folks.

I have noticed the site resizes the large pictures to about 1000 x 800 so due to popular demand I will post the larger photos when possible. Thanks everyone for chiming in.

If you use XP, Windows has a Powertoy which I use to make things simple. Just right click on your picture and chose resize.....then, chose the size you want. I use the 800x600 option here.

I like the larger photos also. Easier for these eyes to see the details.
Beautiful seedling, by the way.
