That comment really landed well on me. Thank you. Made me think some, too.

I used to play a lot of golf. Have not played much in the last few years for a variety of reasons (by choice). But I think I've missed the therapeutic aspect of it - wandering for four or so hours in so much green life.

Since the blossoms started in earnest, I've gone out nearly every morning for 45 mins or so with my camera...surrounded by beauty. Trying to capture it. Trying to take what I think I'm seeing and experiencing and getting it into (and out of) the camera. Then spending the time looking at them (and not posting much, sadly).

Had never thought of my messing with photography as therapy. But it is. On lots of levels.

In the end, you both benefit from the "therapy", each in your own way. And that's what makes a happy life. Your photos are as awesome as her blossoms! My son would spend hours getting shots like that and I couldn't understand why. Maybe its a guy thing. Anyway, I enjoy your shots, and have found some interesting semps of my own for my therapy...along with honeysuckle, roses, nemesia...well suffice to say I've been deep in Therapy. And your Irises were icing on the cake. Two spikes bloomed. Amazing!

Now, to be fair, those vetchies, and yarrow, and that yellow stuff up on the mountain are not mine

Days waiting for you to leave...then at least two or three weeks under my trees. I hurt my back and couldn't get anything planted. The hardest hit were the geraniums, but they're hangin' in and coming back everything else is happy. The irises are just miracles.
As for the others...all the better that you can enjoy them without the work.

Some stuff that was in bloom yesterday - part 1. The focus is fiddly and I'm not sure what to do about that. Sometimes it's okay. Part 2, in a bit, should be tack-sharp (different camera). I take so many pics but post so few...and there's so much in bloom. Here's a bit of what I caught yesterday morning. Maybe I've figured out how to account for the early-morning blue??
