Ouch, Amanda! Hope it's nothing serious.

It was bright and sunny today, with a high of 65F. I thought I should exercise for a bit and get the injured ankle moving again. So, I did the only logical thing to do; I played some more basketball. Slipped up with a slight twist, and the ankle's hurting a bit again. Lol. D'Oh! Parents weren't too happy about that. Guess it was kind of dumb of me to start going hard right after coming back from an injury.

Going back to taking it easy, which always sucks this time of year when the birds are singing and the sun is calling.

Take long walks around the property and do some light maintenance work. That way you'll feel like you got something done but nothing that will hurt your ankle.

My toe is just bruised real good. Swollen and I'm hoping it goes down overnight so I can stand at work all day tomorrow without issue. I'm doing voluntary OT so need to be able to handle a longer day.

Nice day, but very windy. I did get a lot of weeding done though in spite of the wind.

Ginny, my condolences on the loss of your BIL; we've lost several friends to pancreatic cancer Sad Group hug . Your flowers are beautiful, as always!

Nice weather here today, sunny and mid 50s; I planted 4 peony plants (probably better planted in the fall but hey! they were on sale) and used some muscles that have been in hibernation, hope I can get out of bed in the morning. If nothing else I dug up and discarded two ninebark shrubs (which were replaced by 2 of the peonies) - possibly the worst choice I've ever made in something to plant, and that's saying something! Rolling my eyes.

57 / 35 mostly sunny, intermittent light rain showers, brisk winds, feels chily.

Sunny, warm and of course windy. Had hoped to get a little work done outside before the rain moves in but my foot said no to the uneven ground. I made it back to a row of irises and turned around and came right back in. I can tolerate flat surfaces and not limp but not uneven ground.

Should be getting boat work done on Sat. My brother agreed to come out then to get the ball rolling. Demo this weekend in between rains and next weekend put it all back together.

Started out so nice here today, sunny and was up to about 60°, I went outside planning to do some edging around the flower gardens and the next thing I knew the sky had turned black and we had a thunderstorm going on... Blinking . Came back inside and chopped up a bunch of onions from last year's harvest to freeze - quite surprised by how well they are still holding up! Shortly after that our power went out and all I could think was "this better not be for multiple days again!" Fortunately it came back in less than an hour - whew! Going to town tomorrow to get our 2nd shingles vaccines and do a little grocery shopping, so probably won't get much done in the yard after that. Shrug!

Dang voles! My two mortal enemies: deer and voles. So sorry to hear about your hostas.

51/72/38 today. Got 100 tomato seeds planted, so if I don't get good germination I don't know what else to do. The hope is that I'll be able to plant in a fenced area this year, so here's to lots of tomatoes. 🤞

Alot of my hostas didn't survive winter so looks like I'll be buying some new ones to go in that bed. I will be digging one up that is further down because I plan on putting wildlife friendly bushes there so those hostas will get moved around to a few different spots.

Some of my roses still haven't sent up their shoots that are alive underground. I'm to the point of digging them up and replacing with ones that have at least a leaf or two in my stash. If the shoots are still alive when I dig them up then they will go in a pot with potting soil to see if they come back.

Dug up some weeds today before the rain moves in. We will get a bit of everything starting tonight and off and on through Sunday.
