Got my first daylily order today

41 degrees this morning , off and on rain with high wind yesterday. etc nothing done outdoors.
58 to 60 and sunny forecast for later today ,a chance perhaps for outside completions .

iris budding Paperwhites blooming ,tulips torn up from weather , blooming onions trying , a few butterflies , lots of carpenter bees , birds excavating ,nature still at it .

64/45 and partly sunny today and I get to work outside

40 and sunny this morning. It's supposed to warm up later.

28 this morning here, but sunny now so it should be nice out later. Warmer temps and rain coming for the weekend.

Stormy day and now the rain is mostly gone but the wind has moved in and it's blowing hard enough I keep looking outside to see if any big limbs have come down yet. No severe threats today but tomorrow we have a higher risk of tornadoes and same Sat night. Will be at a friend's house Sat afternoon for a birthday bbq and some of her family live west of me so I'll be keeping an eye on the radar so if we need to run earlier than planned then we can.

45 now 71 ? later , rain forecast for later .
Waiting on a new carb for the mower , I cracked a casing pin cleaning it , Goof , and plastic being plastic , eh ?

Nice day here, mid 50s, sunny, a little breezy; I made 3 lbs of burger into meatballs to freeze, then did some edging as the first stage of rehab for my perennial garden, and then tied the raspberry canes to the posts that we put in last fall - trying to make a very disorganized raspberry patch into one that is a bit more manageable! (only a small amount of blood was lost during that process...) Looks like most of the coming week will be rainy off and on, but the highs are all supposed to be in the 50s and 60s and lows in the high 30s or above, so I should be able to get my tomatoes planted in the high tunnel if nothing else.

Lots of tornadoes across Nebraska and Iowa today and tonight. Our family ok. Anyone else in the path?

We have one day of no rain predicted for the next 7 days.

Everything severe went well north and south of us so all good. My sis was in the path but couldn't get to the basement due to stair issues and foot issues but luckily it appears it was radar indicated and not in person since nothing hit Des Moines that I've seen and heard. I gave her some sources to get the stairs fixed.

Forgot to add the threat isn't over until sometime tomorrow when the front leaves the area. Then we'll be done with the rain for a day or two then we get a few more days again.

Now if I knew where my rubber boots were....

70's today high winds , more rain forecast .

Had girl scout troop at the barn to learn about horses. We used our halflingers to let them ride at a walk. The therapy barn has 4. They all had fun.

Amanda Pleasant Hill was hit, which is a suburb and where my daughter lives. She was a mile from where it touched down but is ok.
Major storms came through tonight but still all ok.

I have family in that general area as well. Hadn't heard that P. Hill got hit but glad they're ok. The tornadoes didn't spend much time on the ground around here. Just lots of quick up and downs. All the major stuff went around us, just got normal severe storms with wind and hail.
