Salmon star is a beautiful one Anthony. Most have it listed as a pot/dwarf oriental but mine has definitely gotten over 3 ft tall. It's got a great salmon color that isn't really found on anything else that I've seen.
Name: Anthony Weeding Rosetta,Tasmania,Australia (Zone 7b) idont havemuch-but ihave everything
Della, Catalogue, starts with a T, ends in an R and has ESSELAA in the middle..and they owe me lots of credit, for 20 bodgey bulbs from last year I also purchased some 'Bacardi' -not Rum!
The Orange and white Starburst was hybridized by Judith Mccrae and sold by someone else. This was before the LILY GARDEN and may not have been registered. Because Judith didn't get a fair deal on having others sell her stuff she started her own Retail biz, but if this was registered it may have been under the breeder ID of Columbia-Platt.
NOT MY BABY as much as I would love to claim it. I would like it again if anyone wants to trade.
Lisa
It will be sad if it turns out you lost it. I was attracted to that one since I first saw it. I have but a very few of Lisa's left. Fortunately 'Stunning' seems to be unkillable in spite of winter flooding here .
As of last year I had some of the orange and white Starburst. Not totally sure where it is and will have to wait until it blooms to be sure I still have it. Not a strong grower for me, but I love it!
That is it, and it was not a strong grower for me either until I put it into a landscape, it seems it did not like growing with itself that much. Unusual for an Asiatic.
No blooms yet here, last year (my 1st gardening here) everyone that did not lose the blooms to frost bloomed in July. I hope these thunderstorms do not wipe them out.
Weather alert here, winds 70 mph, hail possible. I just spent a hour or so moving my 12 potted lilies into the garage and attempting to provide protection to the large pots of gloriosas outside (fortunately most of those haven't seen the glories poking through yet). 15 other assorted plant pots also moved into garage. It's hot and humid and I am worn out!
Yeah. I don't like the looks of this one bit! Moving pots in a rush is no fun! The worst of it will miss me up here so I didn't have to move anything--yet.
