I do mourn the loss mostly because my sister gave it to me in better days.

Sorry you lost the glass ball, it sure was a pretty one, but memories cannot be lost or broken!

I see them usually at the plant sales ... Mt. Dora was the last one we went to and Universal Studios Winter setup, the glass blower made them right there for us.. I know that is not of much help, but it means you can get them, just keep your eyes open

Hetty, here is something you might want to try if you plan to search the Internet some more. Google now lets you search by image instead of just by text. On the Google home page click on the images button. You'll get a search box with a camera icon at the right end. Click on that and follow the prompts. You can upload an image from your computer or paste in a URL from a website. http://www.google.com/imghp?hl...

I was surprised to stumble across it. It's a pretty big deal, so I'm surprised that Google didn't give it much play in the press or even online.

Go to the tourist area shops. I have quite a few of those hanging balls in different colors. Prices vary a good bit as does size and colors and shape. Do a search for Witches Balls and you will find quite a few different ones.

I just tried the google image search and all it brought up was pictures that had similar colors, not a single ball

Bummer! It worked for me the other day and brought up some photos I was looking for. I hope that Google keeps working on this and gets it to a point where the results are more specific to the input image.

Thanks, Brenda! I finally gave up my leisure suit a few years ago. Unfortunately, the pants shrank. As I recall, it became fodder for a weaver just up the alley from our house.

I think the red stripe was woven into the rug I purchased from the weaver.

Hank had a lima bean green leisure suit and the long collar shirt that went with it had pink in it.

Oh gosh, so did Bob, but his long collar slinky shirt had yellow mixed in with shades of green. I'd almost forgotten that, Vic! Guess it could have been pink.

Oh, Hank's probably had yellow in it too. What were they thinking???
