Any plans? New plants? etc???

I need to finish up my berm with some dark foliaged Weigela and am looking for a replacement for Lobelia"ruby slippers" found out that the cardinalis species is short lived
Also something to go with some water iris I planted at the base of our downspout

Thumbing thru all the catalogs coming in is making me DROOL!

Keppel's iris catalog came yesterday & I am reading & having a great time.

Do you always add more? or are you just dreaming?

I refused to look though the catalogs pouring in.. but sure I will cave sooner or later

I've been looking and drooling, no plans on any new beds(not that I know of anyway )
I want to revamp the area under the birdfeeders....wanted to do a little cute path and stuff there but that never happened so since it's not that big of an area maybe I'll get to it this year.

I always add more. I need something new to look at each year. Plus the old favorites, of course.

I've got some new phlox and Oriental poppies coming.

I don't have such good luck with poppies from seed, so I bought some of the oriental plants. Just love this one:

And now Jo taught me how to make collage on Picasa, so I'm matching irises with the poppy. Seems the tall bearded bloom at the same time as the poppy. And of course you need to twist my arm to buy new irises.

I bought that one a few years ago, the year of the monsoons... it got to wet and died.

That's why I thought it might go well with the irises, neither like a lot of water.
