Look what I found. I had forgotten about it. A friend gave it to me years ago but I never had any actual use for it. I think I should plant my little garlic bulblet in it.
It's a 2" clay pot. I put it next to a pill bottle to show how tiny it is.

Well now you have a use for it. Hurray! You might soak that little pot in water for an hour before you use it to keep it from wicking all the moisture out of the soil.

It's just so cute but I know it might not be the best thing to use. I feel like it belongs in a doll house. The picture doesn't do it justice.

When I do plant my garlic bulblet, should I use a lot of moss or will soil with perlite do?

I should think soil with perlite will do. I often put some moss around the top to dress it up. And once the moss starts to break down, I usually mix it into the soil and add more moss on the top. Make sure the pot can drain. Water well, then let it dry out between waterings. In winter with the furnace on for me that means about once a week, but I do skip a week now and then. Better to under water a bit then let it stay too soggy.

Later last night I saw that I had also taken a picture to show the hole in my cute little pot. So yes, it will drain.
