I don't have the best records on these and don't feel like going and digging right now. But this seedling is Cinnamon Girl x Ruffles & Lace (or vice versa) . . . but parents both of which I loved and may also have lost in the move and to rot.

And thanks to you two for posting in the other thread.

And please, all join in and post your seedlings, even if just one, or if it doesn't look the best [I consider it difficult enough just to get seeds to form and to germinate them]. I hate to scroll, you decide, but I prefer individual post per seedling so I can give a thumbs up just to one particular seedling I like. I know I could quote that post, and edit out only the particular seedling, but that's more work and I'm not real sure how long or how often I'll be here. I'm not getting my work done.

Beautiful seedling, Teresa! Thumbs up I think copper plicatas are my favorite color/pattern combination.

Hilarious! None of us are! The forum is a great procrastination tool, but I enjoy seeing, hearing, and learning about the iris habits of others.

If anyone happens to be a customer who ordered Iris from me, I sent out several as gift plants. It doesn't/didn't have the best branching, but I'm still hoping to register with the name Cinnamon Dashes. I thought Dashes of Cinnamon, but thought a shorter form better. Anyone feel free to help me decide. Money was also an issue for registration.

This one is a dropped seed seedling. But I'm pretty sure I had a pod on 'Lightshine', but I can't remember what I crossed it with. I keep better daylily records than Iris.

This is a seed drop right next to the above seedling. You can see 'Flying Carpet' in the background, but I don't remember having a pod on 'Flying Carpet'.

This is a maiden bloom seedling, unknown record, that I had moved to the new lots (before it ever bloomed), but may have lost to rot. And if so, the better, if it happened to be susceptible to rot.

This I'm fairly sure this is a Ring Around Rosie seedling, but I didn't number the photo as to what position it was in the seedling row. Further record checking will tell. But, I didn't record the pollen donor. But thought I was trying to use Double Click.

Here are two of the above dropped seed seedlings that I pulled the stems together to take a photo. Are they sibs?? Smiling

That's all folks . . . for now. Don't wanna be a hog.

That reminds me, I'd love to have the Iris That's All Folks. Even a replacement of Ruffles & Lace if I didn't see a tiny piece that may have been leftover from the move emerging.

This is an interesting thread.
I think I may have mixed up a couple of babies in the nursery! I thought this seedling was from my Care to Dance/Rio Rojo cross, but it didn't look like them at all. I also had them in a window box with a Whisper Her Name cross - and there are similarities to it.

Love the ruffles. It seems here in Indiana the Iris I purchase don't have as many ruffles as they do in the warmer growing zones. So perhaps my seedlings would have more ruffles in California. Only one I know in my garden that really showed it's stuff last year was Decadence. It's a beauty of an Iris, but not sure I like the name.

But perhaps even then, the name, is a sign of what is current in the world. This can be changed.

Well the word, Decadence has always meant over-the- top excess to me, but I'd rather express that in an opulent flower than in a lifestyle! Whistling

Opulent = "having the state of opulence"
Opulence = "wealth, affluence, abundance, profusion"

Yes, Decadence certainly had an abundance of beautiful ruffles.

I've already posted this seedling elsewhere on here, it bloomed the first time this fall, so may be a Re-bloomer. I will wait to see it's spring blooms before making any decisions about keeping it. I like the gold beard on it, and the blended colors and lines on the falls. also the gold rim on the standards. (You will see the rim best if you enlarge the picture.)

Woops forgot to mention that the pod parent was Art House, and the Pollen parent was a purple seedling of mine.
